Accessibility and Inclusion

We firmly believe that nature is for everyone, and we love finding ways to make it more inclusive.

This section of our website is under development. We hope that the following pages will help more people come to Aigas, or just get outside and enjoy nature!

We would welcome your questions, suggestions, or comments. Just email us at naturedays@aigas.co.uk

We also have a page for Frequently Asked Questions that might help.

The entrance to Aigas Field Centre. It shows a stone wall with an entrance and a green sign that reads "Aigas Field Centre", with a logo of a stylised Scots Pine Tree above.

This page will show you what your day at Aigas might look like.

A picture of the Magnus House, taken from the outside on a sunny day. It shows a large wooden building with a grass turf roof. Flat against the end of the building, there is a carved wooden picture of an osprey attached to the outside of the building.

A picture of a small bird perched on a birdfeeder. The bird is a blue tit, with a yellow belly, greey wings, and a blue and white head. The birdfeeder is full of peanuts.

Let us know about any allergies you have and read about our allergen protocols here.

A snowy scene taken from a viewpoint overlooking a forest. In the foreground, there are around 7 people wrapped in warm clothing, wearing gloves and jackets and some wear backpacks.

Nature welcomes everyone, and we want to make sure that all neurodivergent people feel comfortable and celebrated.

This picture looks directly down on a large flipchart that is flat on a forest floor. Eight children crowd around the flipchart from all sides, wearing colourful clothes and jackets, as well as one adult. They all seem to be drawing on the paper, but the content is obscured.

If English is an additional language, if something helps you or your young people feel more comfortable, or for anything we haven't covered, please let us know!

In this picture, there is a group of around 20 children all facing the camera. The photo is taken outside a wooden building with glass windows. They are wearing animal masks that they have made from paper plates, and some make claw gestures with their hands. There are a few adults mixed in the group, who also wear masks and pose.

We aim to remove financial barriers to outdoor learning.

This picture shows a woodland scene where a group of around 10 adults and teenagers variously sit and stand in a ring, with an unlit firepit in the centre. There are stumps of wood arranged in a circle around the fire pit, and some people sit on them, where others stand.

We are constantly developing our approach to accessibility.

Here are a few areas that we are striving to improve. Please let us know if you have more suggestions.
