Coronavirus: Guidance for Schools and Groups

Naturedays at Aigas and Aigas Field Centre are committed to ensuring the health and safety of all guests and employees. To this end, this policy sets out steps we are taking, including expectations that are placed upon our guests and employees.

INFECTION CONTROL MEASURES

Visits to Aigas Field Centre

  • We ask that individuals do not come to Aigas Field Centre as part of a Naturedays activity if they have symptoms of coronavirus (a fever and/or cough), have been in contact with someone who has symptoms, or if they have been to a high-risk area within the last month.

  • We strongly encourage everyone, including our employees, to follow these guidelines from the World Health Organisation on infection control, both whilst at Aigas and in their daily lives. This includes:

    • frequently cleaning their hands by using alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water.

    • when coughing and sneezing, covering mouth and nose with flexed elbow or tissue, disposing of used tissues immediately in a hygienic way and washing their hands.

    • avoiding close contact with anyone who has a fever and/or cough.

  • All visitors will be asked to wash their hands on arrival at the Field Centre.

  • If anyone develops symptoms of the virus within a month of visiting Aigas, they must follow government guidance to find out what to do next, which may involve using internet and phone services. Please notify us of this as soon as possible.

  • All field centre vehicles, communal spaces and accommodation are cleaned daily, however we have increased the frequency and use of anti-bacterial cleaning products.

Schools and groups who the Education team visit
