Aigas Adventurers

The Nature Club, 'Aigas Adventurers' for 6-11 year olds began in the summer holidays 2009. Based in The Magnus House, our new education building at Aigas Field Centre, we investigate different aspects of nature, including insects, mammals and birds. A large part of our time however is spent in the woods at Aigas, carrying out exciting activities based around trees, playing games and doing arts and crafts.

A typical nature club meeting:

Arrive at 10am at Magnus House, check the moth trap and record the moths found. Head out to the woods, to do activities such as learning knots, shelter building, crafts with wood and playing games among the trees. Have a quick snack before creating some natural art or looking closer at bugs, through microscopes. Return to Magnus House to be collected at 12.

Aigas Adventurers will next meet from 10am-12pm on these dates:

Wednesday 4th April 2012

Wednesday 11th April 2012
